My son got three pairs of shoes for Christmas to pair a Nike size 13 sneakers and a pair of winter snow boots size 13 ordered a pair of Boombah turf shoes so I start team my son could not even get his foot inside the shoe call customer service not only did not want to help me but they refuse to pay for the shipping back and it cost me $17 to ship back a pair of $49 shoes will never order from them again just to let you know my son went and got a pair of turf shoes size 13 New Balance fit him perfectly can't believe they would not stand behind their product

Boombah - Customer Care Review

I bought a pair of cleats and 4 pairs of baseball pants. I spent over $150 dollars with shipping and tax.

Three of the pairs of pants did not fit. I called customer service and they do not do even exchanges. I have to pay for shipping to send them back, wait 5 days for a refund for the pants (not including shipping) and then get online to order new sizes to pay for shipping again.

When talking with customer service all they could say was "well this is our policy." Now I know that there is a reason our whole team no longer orders from this company. Sadly, they have really good products but it's not worth the extra $30 to keep shipping items back and forth.

Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!

Boombah -  Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!
We ordered size 13 turf shoes for our sons upcoming tournaments being played on all turf fields. We ordered from Boombah website, and shoes shipped fine. On receipt, my son was shocked at how clunky the shoes were, and the laces were too long, despite being double knotted. We shipped shoes back for return, but were told shoes had been worn, and they would not honor their return. The shoes were worn alright......my son put them on, walked around for about 90 ft., confirmed he did not like them, then took them off and returned to box. Anyone that has played on the new generation turf knows the small black, rubber pellets will discolor a white shoe sole. The soles on the shoes we returned were PERFECT!!, but slightly discolored black. After talking with Boombah Customer Service (or lack thereof), we are the owners of a pair of really *** shoes, and a case of red *** over the entire experience. I purchased an equipment bag for my son last year from Boombah, but I can assure you it is the last piece of merchandise I buy with the Boombah name on it!!! I would highly suggest you consider ordering from Nike, Addidas, UnderArmour, or any other established, reputable company! If you are considering purchasing a bat, glove, or other major piece of equipment......BEWARE of Boombahs lack of Customer Support, or ability to stand behind their product! If it were my company, I would honor my return policy, stand behind my product, and take the chance of a customer returning a piece of merchandise and remaining happy, while maintaining a customer in good faith. BUT......Boombah, you did it all wrong!!!!!! Congratulations on *** off a potentially very good customer, and assuring your name and products will never receive a good word from this family of customers!!!

Looking at those photos the shoes look discolored. Some companies take shoes back like this- but, they cannot re-sell these shoes because you can tell they have been worn, and they look like they have been worn more than 90 ft..

You are asking them to accept these as "new" condition. Let me ask you this, if you ordered these shoes and they were shipped to you in this condition, would you accept them as new?

Their return policy is pretty clear.

The shoes were discolored. They aren't in new or like new sellable condition.

Your son should have worn them inside first to try them out. I've owned numerous pairs of cleats and other equipment from Boombah with no complaints.

Thank you for your review. Per our returns policies which are clearly located on our website and provided to each customer per the order confirmation, we ask that all items are returned back to Boombah in the manner they were shipped to you.

All items must be returned in brand new condition, in the original packaging and must be shipped back in a shipping box/package.

If items are not returned to us within these conditions, the return will be refused. The shoes returned back to us were not in brand new condition and were not able to be accepted back for return per our stated return policies.

Like I stated in my original post......BUYER BEWARE!! Purchase a set of Nike, Addidas, UnderArmour, or ANY other REPUTABLE brand.

This company has no interest in its customers enjoying, and being completely happy with their products. If you fail to take this warning seriously, I will surely read your similar post in the future.

Truly a shameful display of Customer Service!

Just spoke with these people and they didn't want to design a uniform for our club of 180 plus uniforms , they wanted me to go online and doit . I have no idea how to design a uniform . We buy bags of them religiously and that's coming to a end . Last year we bought the super packs with wheels and the bat holders drag in the ground . I'd stay clear of this company .

Bottoms of Turfs

So I've bought 3 pairs of turfs from this company over the course of about 4 years. I bought two pairs of the Riot USA 3.0 Turfs (same purchase) and I wore both. Both pairs within 2 months came apart in the exact same location of the shoe, and in the exact same foot (shoe). I also bought a pair of turfs that are no longer listed on their site. That pair come apart on the entire footing of the shoe! I contacted customer service and I didn't even get as much as an apology. I paid full retail for the turfs too. The Riot USA's I spent over $120 for the pair. It's my opinion but I'm willing to bet these shoes are manufactured and assembled outside the US and with inferior materials... Turned around sold for triple the price with no regard for quality. While their shoes are very nice looking on the outside I would advise a potential buyer to spend your money somewhere else. Quality is just not there and there's a high likelyhood you'll regret it (my opinion).

Defcon 2.0 Catchers helmet--shoddy glue job on pads

Bought a new helmet just over three months ago and two pads have already come unglued from the inside of it. We glued one pad back in but lost the other pad.

I wrote to Boombah for a replacement pad, only to be told they don't supply/sell replacements. Of course, the helmet is just out of the 90 day warranty. So now I have to improvise a pad or buy a new helmet.

The last helmet lasted over two years so I'm not pleased that this one can't even make it past three months. The helmet does look good and my son liked the fit, but we will need to shop for a different brand.

I purchased Jackets from Boombah for our fastpitch team. I was assured they were all in stock, well once received. I was missing 2 jackets! I called customers service was told they were discontinued, even though I have a confirmation email, for 12 jackets. Now Boombah wants me to pay to have them shipped back. This is a error on Boombah side not mine. I should not pay for shipping, on a error in their system. This was a team gift! I also was shipped a pair of pants i did not order in place of a Jacket.

Boombah Shoes Review

I purchased shoes as a present for someone, and has them shipped to their house. The shoes were horrible, my friend couldn't even get his foot in them. He called customer service and they told him HE had to PAY to return the horrible shoes. Worst company ever. I will never purchase from them again.

Boombah - Shoe coming apart.
To whom it may concern: I purchase my shoes approximately one year ago. The sides of the shoes are coming apart, with very little use.. The molding is delaminating from the shoe. I have attached a photo for your review. I am a Senior softball player, 72+ years old. I have had 3 other pairs, and they have held up nicely. This pair has completely come apart and are not used very much. What can be done to replace these bad shoes? Thanking you in advance for your attention. Jim Grubb

Boombah is complete rip off!!

I went to order a couple pair of shoes and a shirt, and the "Program" at checkout had a glich. I found out that the order never went through, and my money was gone.

Sure glad I paid with a prepaid card since I was not sure about this company. Customer service was not at all helpful, just somewhat rude. They said it was a " ghost " charge and I would get my money back in a few days. At that point I should have known that it was over for my $150.

So, after a couple of days I rechecked my account, and suprise!! It was still missing.(Booo) I hope that ghost had a good time with that 150.Great looking prices, but if you just take peoples money the BBB my be calling on you soon.

Horrible. Customer service.

Ordered a helmet and face mask for my son. Paid $20 in shopping.

Wrong face mask, they want me to pay return shipping on the wrong item, then order new item and pay more shipping! Pretty sad and pathetic for a sports company.

Boombah printed all but 4 jerseys with 6-inch numbers and the other 4 with 8 inch numbers. We are a repeat team customer of about $2000.

They refuse to fix their mistake and have only offered to reprint at our complete expense. Several phone calls and emails were unreturned and the customer service fails to help resolve a problem.

Their explanation is that we were at fault for approving a design -- which never said some jerseys will have a different sized logo and numbers and names. Save your money and shop local where common sense will surely prevail and "uniforms" will actually be the same...and uniform.

Boombah Hitting Net

Called Boombah to asked if we could use their hitting net as a pitching screen for men's slowpitch softball batting practice. After being assured by two different people that it would hold up and that they had a great return policy I ordered it.

We used it for about 5 minutes before it failed to hold up and although it is not damaged or broken they will not take a return. They said it is not in the original packaging and therefore cannot take it. How am I supposed to know if it works without using it.

All I have to go on is what they tell me. Somehow they expect you to return the product without even opening it.
